Jordan Irvine (they/them) is an Ōtepoti born and Ōtautahi based poet. They have been featured in The Spinoff, bad apple, and Symposia.

Alia Govin-Fowler is a poet from Ōtautahi with an unshakable habit for sentimentality. She is a lover of in-between seasons, beaches, and media induced crying, all of which often emerge within her stanzas. You can find her work in Re-Draft and Overcom.

Ocean Jade is a 20-year-old student from the U.S. based in Dunedin. She has words in the 2021 Poetry New Zealand Yearbook, New Zealand Poetry Society, Re-Draft, Otago Daily Times Extra!, Tarot, Teen Ink, and Minor Gospel. You will usually find her writing about cyborgs, god, and the intricacies of strangeness.

Whaitiri Tua-Warbrick (Rāngitane / Ngāti Raukawa) is a poet who lives in Palmerston North and is a multi-modal, omnipresent librarian. He writes poetry when he's not out walking and trying to be a person. You can find his work in Landfall, Starling, Nine Lives, Bloodbath Journal and @maoribytheriver.

Krysana Hanely is a kaituhi from Tāmaki Makaurau. She writes short stories, poetry, essays and more. She is currently working on her first novel. Follow her writing journey online @krysywriteylocks

Châu Ma is a Master’s student in International Relations at Victoria University of Wellington. Born and raised in Hanoi, she moved to Wellington in early 2025 and quickly fell in love with the city and its people. She began writing poetry recently, inspired by friends who write.

Loredana Podolska-Kint (@loredana_poetry) didn't initially realise she was a poet, but now poetry invades her existence at surprising moments. She works at the hospital and writes to heal (whether herself or others remains to be seen).

Lauren Connolly is a library assistant from Tāmaki Makaurau currently living in Pōneke. She will write until she dies, but until then, she enjoys collecting handbags, swimming in Oriental Bay, and reading in the sun. You can also find her work published in Kate Magazine and takahē.

Liberty Armstrong is a student based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) who loves Shakespeare and has a codependent relationship with free verse. She is currently studying English and Politics and International Relations at the University of Auckland, hoping to receive an education that will set her up for a literary future. Liberty began her tertiary journey with the support of three scholarships, one being the New Zealand Outstanding Scholarship in English. She is particularly interested in unpacking plays through poetry, as she grew up drama-enthused and besotted with different styles of theatre. When she’s not writing, you can find her plotting her next themed costume party. A few bits and pieces of her work are featured on her Instagram.

Kit Willett (he/they) is a bisexual poet, English teacher, and executive editor of the Aotearoa poetry journal Tarot. His debut poetry collection, Dying of the Light, was published by Wipf and Stock imprint Resource Publications in 2022

Mia Böhm created the cover art for this issue. She is based in Ōtautahi. She is a multimedia artist experimenting with a a range of different materials and processes as she learns and grows in her practice. She is especially drawn to photography and painting, often interlacing these. Her creative work allows her to navigate her own cultural identity and representations. Through reflection, reclamation, and reimagining she explores what it means to exist between cultures and layered perspectives.

Tom Fitzpatrick created the pomegranate painting on the opening page
